A sleep mask in heavy 22 momme mulberry silk on both faces, padded with silk floss rather than foam so it stays thin and cool. Silk does not pull moisture out of skin the way cotton does, which is why people with dry skin or eyelash extensions tend to buy this one. The strap is elastic covered in the same silk, so it does not catch hair.
Silk is delicate. It has to be hand washed in cold water, it marks if it gets wet and is left, and the charmeuse face shows snags from rough fingernails. It also blocks less light than the padded cotton mask, because it sits flatter against the face.
