The cotton mask is built for darkness rather than for the feel of the fabric. Eight millimetres of cotton wadding and moulded eye cups that stand off the eyelids mean no light comes in around the nose or the temples, and you can blink freely underneath it. It is the mask for shift workers, bright bedrooms and planes.
It is bulkier than the silk mask and it is warmer on the face, which matters in summer. Grey marl is reduced because the next run uses a slightly heavier jersey; the mask is otherwise identical.
