A three-chamber pillow puts a firm core of small goose feather in the middle and a layer of pure down on either side, so your cheek meets down while your neck is held up by feather. It is the construction most good hotels use, and it is the right pillow for back sleepers and lighter side sleepers.
Feather means quills, and over a few years a quill will occasionally work its way to the surface. Push it back through from the inside and the weave closes. It also means the pillow is heavier than the Soft - nearly a kilo in the 50 × 70 - which you will notice when you plump it.
